Fitness Palooza

9AM -1PM OC Fitness Center and Living room

A Fun Fitness Event- Something for Everyone! A great way to "sample" a variety of classes, experience small group trainings, or just join the fun. Some examples of classes to sample include Aqua, Zumba, Step, Cycle, chair fitness, Brain Fitness, and Hot hula. Free! Class sign-ups will happen 45 minutes prior to class start time. Class schedule will be posted May 1.

Aging with Power

2PM-3PM, Orchard Creek Front Ballroom

Health and Prevention Screenings

11AM-1PM, OC Ballroom

A variety of screenings will be offered, some examples are, blood pressure, vision, Spinal Muscular Imbalances. Fitness Wave will be offering Hydrostatic Body Fat and Resting Metabolic Rate testing. Plus much more. Details to come!

Charity Walk

9:00AM OC Fitness Parking Lot. Wear your walking shoes and join us! We will be walking a 1 mile loop that can be done once or twice for those more serious walkers. Walk enrollment fee will support the "Seniors First" organization. The walk will conclude with a light breakfast for champions! Register at the Fitness Centers, Activities Desk, or online. $12 donation includes Wellness Days t-shirt!

The Six Laws of Health

11:00- 12:00PM, OC Ballroom. Dr. Thomas W. Hopkins, M.D, Better known as "Dr. Tom" from Sutter Health, will present a motivational talk on how the "Six Laws of Health" can apply at any age. Learn about aging, longevity, and living a long, robust life from someone who walks the walk and talks the talk. Free! Register at the Fitness Centers, Activities Desk, or online.

Earn Rewards points at the Fitness Centers

Just in case you need another reason to come to the gym...Starting January 1, 2012 residents will earn reward points every time they come to the fitness center! Points will be accumulated based on gym visits, personal training visits, group exercise visits, and specialty class visits. Points will also be earned with purchases either at the Wave or Kilaga Fitness. Details are posted at the fitness centers along with top monthly earners. Use your accumulated points to pay for future purchases at either fitness center!

Points earned:

Gym Visit = 0.5pts

Group Exercise Class = 0.5pts

Personal Training Session = 0.5pts

Purchase of Punch Card = 0.05pt/dollar spent

Purchase of PT session = 0.05pt/dollar spent

Purchase of Specialty/SGT class = 0.05pt/dollar

100 points = $1 toward future purchases!

 

 
Exercise is Medicine PDF Print E-mail

The American College of Sports Medicine sponsored program "Exercise is Medicine" is implemented by the highly qualified Fitness Staff at Sun City Lincoln Hills, and is thus open to Lincoln Hills residents only.  This is a physician referal based program where physicians prescibe their Sun City Lincoln Hills patients to us for exercise.  We will then evaluate each of our referred clients and place them in a suitable program based our Health Appraisal & Risk Assessment recommended by the ACSM.

Exercise programs (new to the resident) will be offered at a discounted price as this program is not covered by insurance.  This
